This position is responsible for individual, group, and family therapy, comprehensive assessments, and ongoing treatment planning.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, biopsychosocial evaluations, and diagnostic formulations in alignment with Alaska behavioral health documentation standards.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients and the multidisciplinary treatment team.
  • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities.
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation of all clinical services in accordance with Medicaid, CARF, and State of Alaska requirements.
  • Participate in case reviews, treatment team meetings, and quality-assurance activities to coordinate care and monitor client progress.
  • Provide crisis intervention, suicide risk assessment, and stabilization as needed, following state-mandated safety protocols.
  • Support discharge planning, coordination of aftercare, and linkage to community resources to promote sustained recovery.
  • Maintain professional licensure, ethical conduct, and ongoing continuing-education compliance under Alaska Board of Professional Counselors or Social Work guidelines.

  • Required Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a closely related behavioral health field required.
  • Must hold or be actively pursuing one of the following Alaska licenses: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) under supervision.
  • Individuals with a qualifying Master’s degree working toward licensure will be considered under clinical supervision as required by the State of Alaska.
  • Demonstrated skill in assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic intervention.

• Group Facilitator

  Pay: From $30.00 per hour

  Job description:

  The Group Facilitator supports clients in their recovery by leading therapeutic and educational group sessions focused on substance use disorders. This position plays a hands-on role in engaging clients, documenting progress, and fostering a safe, structured environment. In addition to group work, the facilitator conducts individual check-ins to support treatment goals and collaborates closely with the clinical team.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups (e.g., relapse prevention, coping skills, mindfulness, trauma-informed care, CBT/DBT skills)
  • Conduct regular client check-ins to reinforce progress and address immediate needs
  • Document group sessions, attendance, and client progress in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
  • Foster an inclusive and respectful environment that promotes peer support and recovery
  • Manage group dynamics and utilize de-escalation techniques when needed
  • Collaborate with clinical and medical staff to ensure group content aligns with individualized treatment plans
  • Participate in treatment team meetings and provide input on client progress
  • Maintain knowledge of recovery models, trauma-informed practices, and evidence-based interventions
  • Uphold confidentiality and follow HIPAA regulations at all times
  • Attend trainings and participate in continuing education as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or related field required
  • At least 1 year of experience in behavioral health, social services, or substance use treatment
  • Strong understanding of addiction, recovery models, and trauma-informed care

• Behavioral Health Technicians

  Pay: From $23.00 per hour

  Job description:

  The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) provides direct client support in residential and outpatient behavioral health settings. BHTs ensure client safety, monitor daily activities, maintain documentation, and support treatment plans under the direction of clinical and operations staff. This position plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic environment for clients.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular client rounds (every 30 minutes or as required), documenting observations and behaviors.
  • Assist with intakes and orientation, including belongings checks, initial paperwork, and room assignments.
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate group sessions, including mindfulness, recovery skills, or activity-based groups.
  • Provide daily client support, including wake-ups, meal monitoring, transportation, and recreational activities.
  • Perform vital signs checks, breathalyzers, urine drug screens, and basic client assessments.
  • Document shift notes, incident reports, and group participation in the EHR or required system.
  • Assist in ACA/AMA blocking, encouraging clients to remain engaged in treatment.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment by assisting with cooking and housekeeping tasks (laundry, kitchens, bathrooms, common areas).
  • Support medical and clinical staff with scheduling, reminders, and coordination.
  • Participate in staff training, meetings, and supervision as required.

  Required Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health, Psychology, or related field preferred.
  • QMAP certification (if required by state) for medication administration.
  • Previous experience in behavioral health, substance use treatment, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Ability to de-escalate crises and work effectively with individuals experiencing mental health or substance use challenges.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (if transportation duties are assigned).

  Preferred Experience, Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

  • Minimum one year of clinical experience in substance abuse or behavioral health treatment preferred.
  • Prior experience in behavioral health, recovery programs, or human services strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of behavioral health facility regulations, licensing, and payer requirements.
